Family Photo Shoot...

Kurt cleaned a friend of ours teeth and her husband and daughter and in exchange for that we got a free photo shoot...I was sooo excited. There are a ton of pictures that I loved and thought caught the girls personalities, so enjoy...there are a ton!! I had one of my friends who does hair come over and do my girls hair...it was a little hot and humid, so you can't tell how truly cute they all looked! I also had to iron Kurt's shirt for him...bad idea...it's only like the third time in our married life that I've done it...in fact, my friend, Jen, who did the girls hair touched up Kurt's shirt for me after I gave it my best shot!

Stuff...

I love this picture of Annie jump roping...she has just recently learned and is still not great, but we just keep telling her to practice...
These pictures are from Memorial Day...we had a great time at the Andersen's house with the Lawless family too! They have the most beautiful and relaxing backyard. Plus, they are so laid back, it is easy to be around them and their family. Our only regret is that we didn't do more with them while they lived here. Andersen's are moving to Utah and we are so sad to see them leave. They have two little girls Alyse and Madelyn's age exactly. At least we know we'll be seeing them again, since they are moving close to G & G Niepraschk.

Lots and lots of days at the pool this summer. We tried to go about 3 times a week, have a day at home and then another day with friends or doing errands or something fun like bowling or jump zone. I love our neighborhood...there are always lots of people at the pool, which makes it so nice for Annie and the other girls, but especially for Annie. She is always wanting a friend to play with and it makes it nice for me, since the other two require a little more attention from me. Alyse did some swim lessons this year, but it's hard when you don't actually like to put your head under water! Madelyn wanted nothing to do with lessons, so I guess we'll try next year. I love this one of Alyse too because it's so her, especially when she's tired. I require the kids to help me carry thing in to and out of the pool, since we have so much stuff....however, Alyse is never very thrilled on the way out to help!

It's been a crazy summer...after our trip to Cali, I was in Italy and then the next morning Kurt went out to CO to look at our practice, then two days later we drove 4 hours to this lake house. Then the day after we got home we had visitor on and off for a few weeks!! We had an incredible weekend trip to a Lake House in TN...Kurt has a part time faculty that invites all the residents up in June for a fun filled weekend. The girls had a great time in the water and on the boat. We just relaxed and enjoyed the family time. All the girls tried water skiing, which was pretty cool. I even got out once and realized what bad shape I'm in...I had to let go after about 10ish minutes because my back leg was starting to shake!!! Kurt wake boarded and also got up single skiing too! We all went cliff jumping too, which was great! The food was all taken care of and Dr.Thacker and Mary were amazing hosts!!! We wish we were around to do it again next year...

Our summer visitors....

I just had to document the visitors we had this spring/summer. Kurt's sister, Katrina, came out for about a week and we had such a great time. She has three kids and it was so nice b/c all the kids played so well together. We cooked some great food, did a party for her ( www.littlemissprissgirls@etsy.com ), hung out by the pool, went to Chuck E. Cheese and a trip to the temple. She's great to have around and I truly love her and love chatting with her. We wish she could have stayed longer, but maybe she'll be back to visit again sometime!

Right after she left we headed to our friends house in Knoxville (Richmans) and had a great weekend! We went to a parade, a baseball game with fireworks and then had a great BBQ at their house with some of their good friends. We felt a little out numbered with all Oral Surgeons around us :) I always love being with my friend Anna. Our kids play great together, everything is way casual and laid back and always so comfortable. I don't get to see her and the family as often as I would like, but we're both so busy now!

After that, my mom made an unexpected and sudden trip..the girls had a great time with her and even sent Kurt and I out while she had a slumber party with the girls. My dad also called while she was out and told all of us to have grandma buy them each one thing, whatever they wanted, from him...he had had a good day at work that day :) The girls each chose a build a bear, my mom took me a got a few new clothes and Kurt got an I-phone (which he LOVES). She had just been out in May for my birthday and we had a blast with her then...jump zone, soccer, pedicures, lunch at school with Annie and lots of other fun. I LOVE when my mom comes to visit...she is so good with the girls and just takes such good care of us. I can't quite explain how happy it makes me. We always have so much to talk about...my only with sometimes is that I didn't have to share her with the rest of my family :)

Shortly after the quick trip from my mom my sister Rebecca and her husband Steve came out to visit. It was such a quick trip, but we did so much and had a blast. The night they got in we went straight to the Grand Ole Opry to see Carrie Underwood, Clay Walker and others. She was great and it was such a fun night. We also made it to Mammoth Caves, which was very cool...the girls did great walking for most of the time. Kurt made bleaching trays for them. Steve was a little nervous of the impressions, since he tends to gag, but did a great job :) The girls loved being in their dad's office and pretending to work with him. One of my friends watched the girls while we went and played tennis...Kurt and I got whooped up on :) We won a little but it was definitely not that close! We also made it for a VERY quick trip to the Pancake Pantry on our way out of town. R & S were so good to take the girls bowling while I had an appt. They were just so good with the kids and so easy to have around. It was so great to see them....I don't get to see my siblings often enough!!! That will hopefully be changing very soon.
