SPRING BREAK!!!
Annie had spring break last week and she was so excited to be home. Although we did not go anywhere, I tried to make sure she had a fun week with us at home. She said she was just excited to do all the things we normally do while she's at school...like work out, go to Jump Zone, go to lunch...so that's what we did. Monday was a run errands day, then play at the mall and have lunch. That night Kurt came home early and we took the girls out to dinner and went bowling for Family Home Evening (FHE). They had a blast! Tuesday we went to Jump Zone with the rest of the 200 kids that didn't go out of town for Spring Break. Wednesday we packed a lunch and went to the zoo all day long and it was so much fun! We got there about 10:30 and didn't get back to the car until 5ish. On the way there I talked to my mom and she told the girls they could each have an ICEE and ride the carousel a bunch of times....just like my mom to spoil them even when she's not physically with us:) Thanks, they loved it!!! Then on the way home we stopped at Kurt's school and had dinner with him. He's busy studying for his HUGE test right now (he takes on the 24th of this month) and so the girls don't get to see him much. So on Thursday we headed down to the school again and had lunch with him at the park. We're trying to get down there more often, but it's a little difficult since it takes me about 40 minutes to get there. On Friday, Annie was invited to go to Jump Zone again with a friend from soccer...the girls and I went to the mall and got stuck there during a tornado warning (meaning they've sighted an actual tornado, not just they think one may form...it's taken me forever to get the whole tornado watch and warning figured out) So we started home and realized they had extended the warning an extra 30 minutes....needless to say, I was very nervous the whole way home and put the kids in the coat closet when we got there (our "safe" spot) for the rest of the tornado warning. But everything was fine and Annie had fun with her friend! We ended Spring Break with Easter, but that's for another post...here's pictures to document our week...

Hahaha! That picture of Alyse in the middle of the see-saw is fabulous! =D
So cute Leah! Sounds like we should have joined you for spring break - lots of fun activities to do! We are now starting our spring break so decided to head to St. George on Thursday. We need to get out of this rainy/snowy weather for a couple of days! :) I thought it would be fun if I came to visit you - then we could go sight-seeing for someone by the name of "Keith Urban" :) ha-ha!
Love the last pic. So cute! Way to have a "stay"-cation (I think that's the word). That's exactly what we're doing now.
What a fun packed week. How long did you have to hide out in the closet for during the tornado watch? My kids would've loved that!
You're a fun mom, Leah! My poor kids got chore lists to do each day during their spring break!!!
What a week. What a fantastic mom you are. Makes weeks go by so fast when you are gone all day everyday. That's what we do too! Umm, don't think I like the tornado watches and kids in coat closets... kind of freaky to me. by the way, my dress I wore to the wedding...of course Marshalls, $16.99.
Take Care. xoxo
